You’ll discover the Professor of Profanity, the pub that helped Dr Samuel Johnson finish his famous dictionary, pass through the inspiration for Sweeney Todd’s Barber Shop and calm your nerves at London’s first bank, now serving pints instead of pound notes. There are three historic pubs to discover over the course of your tour, and you’re welcome to stop in each as your guide regales you with tales and titbits from the area’s history, from swearing parrots to handsome phantoms and all sorts in-between.
