Created in cooperation with Lucasfilm and presented here as “Red-5”, the X-Wing as piloted by Luke Skywalker with astromech R2-D2 in the Battle of Yavin, this kit is reproduced in fine detail throughout! You additionally have the option to build it as a scale representation with included canopy glazings or as the filming miniature, which did not feature the clear parts that could cause unwanted reflections. This Bandai plastic model kit is assembled using 144 pre-coloured parts but can additionally be painted if desired. Everything slots together, so no glue is required. Display options are varied; show your completed model with s-foils folded and the undercarriage extended with the canopy open/closed, or in-flight with sfoils locked into attack formation. There is also a multi-part adjustable display stand that recreates sections of the Death Star’s hull to display the completed model – either a single section for general display or an additional interlocking section that recreates the thermal exhaust port with Luke’s proton torpedoes just entering to start the chain-reaction that will destroy the Death Star!
